Scholarships
The PBBC Scholarship Program, through a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bristol Bay Native Corporation Education Foundation (BBNCEF), accepts applications twice a year, with the first deadline of April 8th, 2022
Students who are jointly BBNC and PBC shareholders will automatically be considered for awards upon their application to BBNCEF. PBC shareholder and shareholder descendant students who are not BBNC shareholders can contact BBNCEF directly with instructions on how to apply at bbncef@bbnc.net or by contacting Angela Peacock directly at 907-265-7856
Higher Education Scholarship
(2-yr, 4-yr, or advanced degree programs; Full- time or Part-time Enrollment)
Higher education awards are based on academic standing, leadership, and life experiences. Advanced degree programs included. Scholarships are awarded for the academic year.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a PBC shareholder or registered descendant
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Enrolled in an accredited college or university as a full-time student, OR part-time student enrolled in at least six credit hours
Cumulative 2.0 grade point average or better
Instructions on how to apply
The new STREAMLINED application is available to both BBNC and PBBC shareholders by visiting myBBNC.net.
To apply:
· Sign on to your myBBNC account at mybbnc.net.
· Hover over the BENEFITS section and select BBNC Education Foundation.
· Select Application Portal.
· Complete your application by April 8, 2022 at 5 pm AKST
Need an account on myBBNC?
PBC shareholders and descendants are eligible create an account on myBBNC.net. (PBC shareholders do not need to be a BBNC shareholder to use the portal.)
To register:
· Open your internet browser and go to mybbnc.net (do not enter “www”)
· Click “REGISTER” found under the “SIGN IN” button
· Complete the web form with your information, check the “I’m not a robot” button, and click “REGISTER”
Once your registration form is submitted, it will be reviewed by BBNC during regular business hours. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email and will be able to log in and access your profile in the portal. For students under the age of 18,your parent/guardian can log in for you, and access the application. If you’re having trouble getting registered or logging in, please visit the FAQ page, call BBNC at 1-800-426-3602, or send BBNC an email at shareholders@bbnc.net.
If you prefer, you can still apply with a paper application by emailing BBNCEF.

When registering for myBBNC, some responses may go to your spam email. Please make sure if you haven’t gotten a response to look through your junk mail.
Short-Term Vocational Education Scholarship Program
Funding is available for PBC Shareholders who are in need of financial assistance to attend short term training to enhance their work or career opportunities. Recipients will be awarded a maximum $2,000/ scholarship, depending on the cost/length of the training. Maximum one scholarship per program and one scholarship per calendar year. NOTE: The Scholarship program is limited by budget, therefore some eligible applicants may not be awarded a scholarship and there is no guarantee of funding.
